Absolutely, 100%, don't leave home without it. TBH It ought to be incorporated into all the policies.

Some of you met my friend Davey on the East Anglian rideout. He got run over on his bike by a Fiat Tipo, and 'died' 3 times underneath it. I photographed his injuries for his compensation claim, I still have them, they're so horrific he won't let me show them to anyone, and he would only let me take the pics.

He lost his 50k a year sat diving job overnight. His battle for compensation lasted 4 years. The case went in and out of the courts, there were appeals on both sides. His legal costs in the end, almost reached the limit of the HUGE cover provided by his Legal Protection policy.

No one would have taken his case if he hadn't had it.

Similarly, I had four years of litigation myself, however costs were met by my union, the RMT.

It's the only add-on I take gladly every time.

Also, on a non-fault accident, they'll recover your policy excess.

I say, 'AVE IT!!!! :D
