What do you do on a wet Tuesday? When you’re feeling a bit peed off about not going to Rhayader……..Fit that new back tyre.
1. Put a block of wood under the stand.
2. Leave the valve at the top for a few minutes so that the "Leak-stop Goo" drains to the bottom of the tube.
3. Release the air & put the vale back.
4. Undo the brake rod & brake drum retainer.
5. Undo the spindle & withdraw it 3/4 of the way out.
Remove the spacer.
6. Pull the wheel away from the cush drive rubbers & wriggle it out.
7. Bingo! 1st Job done.

Tyre removal.
1. The tube contains "Self sealant Goo" so get as much air out of the tube as possible put the valve back. Then. PLENTY of soapy water around the rim.
2. Make sure that the bead of the tyre falls in the GROOVE in the centre of the wheel & don't trap the tube with the tyre leavers.
3. Remove the core to let all the rest of the air out of the tube. Get your fingers under the bead & pull.
4. Keep all the "goo" in by keeping the valve at the top & remove the tube.
5. Hang the tube up so that all the "goo" drains to the bottom.
BLOODY HELL!!! THIS TYRE IS MENT TO GO ON THE FRONT!!!!! SO PUT THE OLD TYRE BACK
6. To replace. Soap the beads, squeeze the goo filled tube into position & replace the valve core.
7. Then walk the tyre onto the wheel.
8. Don’t forget! Use plenty of soap & get the bead in the centre groove of the wheel. Easy Peesey.

I cleaned the dirt away & put some Grease around the bearings (after reading Vic’s posting).
