If you look at the pin there is a flat that's supposed to match with a peg on the frame (LH Side).
Supposedly to stop the pin seizing into the stand as it won't be allowed to turn with it. However what really happens is the pin seizes into the stand and acts like a set of shears cutting off the frame 'blob'.
Boat drive type grease, sticks like wassissname to a nappy and doesn't was away easily.
