I totally agree with you the gearing Griz,but others swear 16/39 is the way to go.I run 18/39 on mine which gives 30mph in 2nd,45 in 3rd and allows me to cruise at 50 in 4th.The 18 is the largest I could fit.I'm wondering if Lifan use different ratios in some gearboxes.
