I had something similar for a car I bought off a guy and he claimed it had been stolen by me.I believe because it had been involved in a crash before I bought it and they claimed against him.
He got killed not by me I hasten to add but the case just disappeared.
I never heard any more.
Contact the court make them aware of the circumstances and I suspect it will disappear.
Blimey keep your chin up though things will get better.
