Theoretically you should replace both sprockets and the chain,but if the sprockets aren't hooked you can get away with just a new chain.A heavy duty chain is considered to be best and will last longer.If your bike is a C90 I think the standard sprockets are 15/39(engine/wheel),but alot of us use a 16 or even 17 tooth on the engine.You can even split a chain without a special tool.Grind off the protruding pin and with a nut supporting the chain hammer it out so as the pin goes thro the hole in the nut.I've even done it without grinding off the pin.
