Battery is a new one as per original from local bike shop and been ok for some time. Went out last week for a 30 mile ride with lights on and was ok. When i went yesterday in daylight with lights on the bike started to cut out and stopped. When eventually restarted it was running badly until i turned off the lights, seemed good after this. Assuming the battery is not charging enough for the lights to run all the time.
