As Fuzz said, unless you have a heated/dehumidified garage then forget it this time of year. (ask me how I know, I have an Enfield tank that looks like crocodile skin).

Rattle can paint is exceptionally thin so it takes many more coats than it would with a gun setup.

Don't skip any layers, bare metal needs etch even if it's just a small sanding break through, use plenty of primer coats as these are much easier to flat and only move to colour once your completely happy with the base coat for both even colour and flatted to perfection.

Clear coat is exceptionally runny so the coats have to be really light, it's difficult to get a fully wet coat without runs so take your time.
