Araldite is supposedly only good up to 65C but its all I had so I'm trying it. Superglue may possibly be better temperature wise but its very brittle... Some sort of silicone may be better or a hard setting instant gasket. Glued the washer onto the top of the oil cooler with the intention of putting a neodymium magnet on top of the sensor to hold it down for easy removal but magnet was more interested in the spine rack bolt. Meat cooking thermometer has a range of -50c to +300c. Maplins £20 local market £12 ebay £4 delivered. Tiny glass thermistor looks like it would crack in two if handled roughly when soldering. Maplins sell a range of thermistors at 99p. Kicked bike up last night and temperature settled down at 40c on tickover. Regards. Bob.
