Continental Tyres

The time has come to get some new tyres, I really mean that as my slow puncture has become a fast one so I might as well change the tyres as well as the tubes. Haynes say 2 x 250 but mild hogs offer an option of 1 x 250 and 1 x 275. So what is best for the rear?
Is their a volunteer in Edinburgh who can help me change my tyres? Last time I repaired a tube I went through a whole puncture repair kit.
I have had the C90G for nearly 6 months now and it is running quite well. I have all the bits I should need for a top end rebuild but it is no longer so pressing as the engine has really freed up a lot and I am getting an indicated top speed of 50mph (it was 40 when I got the bike) and it starts 3 or 4 light kicks from cold.
