Looks like I'm turning this into a 1-man townmate question thread.

I had a look in my carb and air-filter box today. The carb looked like new inside, whereas the air filter came out in sodden penny-sized lumps.

One thing with the carb - it features what looks like a little extra pump plunger on the front-right corner, which I guess is to deliver a little extra umph in a throttle dead-spot. There is something very similar on the 2cv.

There is two curious things about it though. Firstly, it looks like the throttle mechanism should depress it, but the throttle never quite reaches far enough to do so, and it looks like it should spring back up of it's own accord, but it doesn't, and there is no spring inside. Is it out of adjust, and is it missing a spring?
