Hi Nige, I had to go to the hospital again today so didn't have time to get some metal putty to see if my temp bodge will work. Unfortunatley I suffered a mis-spent youth so never learnt how to weld, instead I was an electron traffic cop telling the little buggers which way to go round a circuit board. And I was away from home for 30 years, only got back 3 years ago so I don't have many contacts here. I have ordered a Jimchen Ranger exhaust off ebay which looks like it has the right twists in it - a kinky exhaust HMMMM ;)

The seller wanted £300 and we settled on £250 which I thought was OK as the only real problem I could find on it was the exhaust. One leg shield has a nasty split which hasn't been repaired well but I can sort that out myself. I saw one advertised in Ireland at £300.

I had forgotten how much fun I had riding and working on bikes but now, after the summer I will be getting a proper bike again, nothing too big. 10 years ago I hired a Yam Virago 250 for a day out in Spain and that was fine so I am thinking about an XV535. A low seat height is a requirement as I am like an old dog, I can't cock my leg as high as I used to.
