My brother has a innova aswell as myself and they both use oil pretty heavily, and from my previous questions i have asked on here that is not an unusual thing. Maybe your lad let it run too dry perhaps? A very easy thing to do, i'm totally shocked on the oil consumption on my innova, i check it almost daily now and there isnt a week that goes by where i am not putting oil in the damn thing. I wouldnt mind so much if it had the classic synptoms of oil use but it does not, its a low mile engine with a service history and it does not smoke. As a previous cub owner i would prefer that to what i have now any day of the week.
